Mr. Kelley is responsible for overseeing the orderly disposition of syndicated tax credit properties in the Highridge Costa portfolio, located outside California, as their tax credits reach the end of their ten-year lifespan. His duties include identifying target projects, generating underwriting and asset valuation, managing relations with project general partners and investors, negotiating sale terms, preparing transaction documentation, and managing closings. He is also responsible for internal resource allocation in the disposition process, including working closely with the firm’s asset managers.
Mr. Kelley joined Highridge Costa in 2012 after serving as Assistant Vice President, Asset Sales at Alliant Asset Management Co. LLC from 2009 to 2012 and Vice President, Asset Management at AIMCO Capital from 2006 to 2009. He was also employed by Simpson Housing Solutions LLC – one of the Highridge Costa Companies’ predecessor firms – from 2001 to 2006, when he was Vice President, Special Assets. Prior to that, Mr. Kelley was an independent consultant for eight years after serving in project management and asset management positions with Shearson Lehman Hutton Inc. and Calmark Properties Inc. dating to 1978.
Mr. Kelley earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he subsequently earned his Master of Business Administration degree in Finance.
